I have been so excited to shoot today’s mini sessions! I cherish the few photos I have of my children and myself. Recently, I have even been making an effort to be in more photos. It is so important for us mommas to come out from behind the camera sometimes! I loved looking through the images for this morning! I hope you all love them as well!

Tonight Caleb came to meet me at the studio! I really enjoyed cuddling Caleb this evening. Once he had a full belly he was a great model! I really enjoyed meeting his family and can not wait until his six month session. Hope you guys enjoy the sneak peek!

It has been over six months since I have seen Drew and he sure has grown! He was not impressed by me at all yesterday and it took some work, but we were able to get some silly faces and smiles captured! I hope you guys love your peek!

Tomorrow is the official grand opening of my studio! This week has been a whirlwind of preparing and running around to get things just the way I imagined. Today while finishing up the details my son said, “Momma i love it here!” and it made me sit down and take it all in.

And then it hit me… I HAVE A STUDIO! I am so excited!

I am so thankful to my husband for helping me to make this possible, being so supportive of my dream, and for his patience with my OCD tendencies. I am also thankful for my kids for being so helpful and patient with me in getting the studio ready! AND a huge thank you to my good friend Shannon for all the late nights painting!

Reflections | Sayre, PA Photographer

The theme for the blog circle this month is Reflections. I started this project to pick up my camera a bit more than I have for personal reasons lately, but now I am also using it as a way to get more photos of my own kids. People always say to me how great it is that I probably have so many photos of my kids, but the truth is I often skip photos of them.

Just this week I was playing in the yard with the kids. They were enjoying blowing bubbles and the light was really beautiful, so I grabbed my camera. As I took some pictures I could see my reflection in their eyes and I thought perfect, great image for the blog circle. Then while I was editing these images I realized something even more. I took the time the other day to sit down and blow bubbles with the kids. I stopped weeding the garden, stopped cleaning the outside toys and just sat with them. I wanted to spend the time playing with them and making their day the best it could be. Each day I wake up and try to make sure I have a good day with them. I want them to be happy and I want them to know how happy they make me. The Reflections topic hit home a little bit more than I had expected!

Almost a year ago I met Allie and Pat when their sweet little girl Mollie was born. I was lucky enough to photographer her in her first days, to now capture their engagement, and soon to be a part of their wedding day.
